Abstract | The three major tasks of fire control are fire prevention, disaster rescue and emergency rescue. "Fire prevention" is the most important topic in the research of fire-related units. It is expected to reduce the occurrence of fire in many ways and protect people's lives and property. The purpose of this research is to find out the problems and countermeasures of metropolitan residential safety and security through questionnaires and experts interviews, and take Zhonghe District, New Taipei City as the analysis area. The scope of investigation includes the related situations of residential fire prevention and fire protection, traffic flow situation and management mechanism. This study also developed a method to determine the degree of risk, and find out the solutions for different objects and conditions. The home-safety questionnaire used in this study is based on the home safety diagnosis form of Fire Department, New Taipei City Government and revised for the inadequacies. In addition, this paper refers to "The Research on Damage Reason Caused by Fire and Fire Prevention Estimation on Existing Apartment Buildings " (Shih-Feng Kao, 2005) , and designs a questionnaire of safety diagnosis of public space in buildings, collecting one hundred and fourteen home-safety questionnaires, thirty-two public security questionnaires, and five experts interviews.In this study, the questionnaire analysis, experts interviews and some relevant literatures are used in discussing the hazardous factors and prevention measures of residential fire, and developing countermeasures and management mechanisms of residential fire prevention. In addition, to provide the public the disaster prevention measures according to the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for residential disaster prevention measures strategies. |
