  • Abstract Structure of Economy has been changed nowadays so eating habits of customers are improved a lot. Customers are willing to pay more attention on choosing safe and premium food and they can buy what they need on the organic food store in the recent market. Because of improvement of economy and living standards, people have more opportunity to go abroad and travel and also have more chances to purchase products in the airport duty free shop. Therefore, the airport duty free shops have increased different variety of products in their shop especially organic food. The purpose of this study is to discuss product involvement, perceived value and purchase intention for departure travelers on the organic food in the airport duty free shop.

    Departure travelers in Taoyuan International Airport will be the target of electronic questionnaires and this research uses the convenience sampling. 415 copies of questionnaires have been sent out and receive 390 valid copies of questionnaires in return. So the total rate in return of valid questionnaires is 94%.
    The result of this analysis is following,
    1. The positive correlation on product involvement and perceived value toward to organic food product for travelers in Taoyuan International Airport.
    2. The positive correlation on product involvement and purchase intention toward to organic food product for travelers in Taoyuan International Airport.
    3. The positive correlation on perceived value and purchase intention toward to organic food product for travelers in Taoyuan International Airport.
    The background of these respondents is mostly women, married. Age is from 31~40 and level of education is university or college. Occupations are mostly from industry/business and service industry and second are military officers/government officials and teachers. The average of personal income is from NT40, 001~60, 000 and next is NT20, 001~40, 000 so travelers from the airport have sufficient ability to purchase. Religion is found mostly by Buddhism and Taoism. In general, travelers from the airport own good health. According to above research and result, conclusion and suggestion is been given to vendor of airport duty free shop and organic food shop.
