Abstract |
This thesis proposes a wearable human posture recognition system with 3D presentation for continuous wireless monitoring. This system uses the function of an accelerometer to acquire physical data, after designated processing, the data will be transmitted wirelessly to be displayed in the Human Machine Interface on a monitoring device. The Human Machine Interface is programmed using LabVIEW, by which data will be presented in a waveform angle display and a 3D presentation. The waveform angle display uses the presentation of X, Y and Z axes to express the inclination direction of the human body posture. Applying 3D presentation offers a more apparent approach regarding to the display of the human posture recognition. The experiment of the system can be used for distinctive human posture recognition, activity detection and fall detection. In this research, wireless data transmission is brought into the concept to provide convenience and mobility for future applications. |
