Keyword | |||
Abstract | This study aims to explore the emerging camping trend of car camping, also known as "¨®ªy"(¸qĶ:Che Bo) in the post-pandemic era, utilizing an industry and management perspective. The global tourism industry has experienced unprecedented impacts due to the pandemic, leading to various restrictions and challenges in traditional travel and camping activities. In this context, car camping has gradually gained attention and adoption as a new camping alternative. The study begins by examining the definition and characteristics of car camping and analyzing its differences compared to traditional camping methods. Car camping involves using vehicles as camping bases, allowing campers to rest inside the vehicle while engaging in outdoor activities around it. This form of camping offers the advantages of flexibility and convenience, as campers can freely choose camping locations based on their preferences while enjoying the comfort and safety of their vehicles. Through qualitative research methods such as interviews, surveys, and literature analysis, the study seeks to understand the impact of car camping on the tourism industry and the leisure market. Preliminary findings indicate that one of the reasons for the rapid rise of car camping post-pandemic is its alignment with social distancing and personal isolation requirements. Campers can opt for secluded camping sites away from crowds, simultaneously enjoying the beauty and tranquility of natural surroundings. Furthermore, car camping presents new opportunities and challenges for the tourism industry. Many tourist attractions and camping sites have started offering facilities and services designed specifically for car campers, such as parking areas, power supplies, and sanitary facilities. This provides opportunities for businesses in the tourism sector, but also requires the development of corresponding strategies and operational models to cater to the needs of car camping enthusiasts. In conclusion, this study sheds light on the significance of exploring the emerging camping trend of car camping in the post-pandemic era. Car camping, with its flexibility and safety, brings new opportunities and challenges to the tourism industry and the leisure market. Industry stakeholders and policymakers can draw insights from this research to formulate relevant development strategies that foster sustainable growth in the tourism industry. |
