Abstract | This study aims to investigate the causal relationship between the construction industry, the reduction of major occupational accidents in the Taipei Metro Wan-Da Line project, and the implementation of occupational safety and health education. The research utilizes a questionnaire survey to analyze the correlation between these factors. Furthermore, the study conducts in-depth research and discussion on the causes of major occupational accidents in the Wan-Da Line project and proposes improvement suggestions to mitigate the occurrence of such accidents. The research is focused on the Wan-Da Line of the Taipei Metro, and a random sampling method is employed to distribute anonymous questionnaires. A total of 250 questionnaires were officially distributed, with 24 invalid questionnaires excluded. The study obtained 226 valid questionnaires, resulting in a response rate of 90.4%. Statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent sample t-tests, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression coefficient analysis, are used to analyze the data with the SPSS Chinese version statistical software. The research findings are as follows¡GThere are significant differences in the issues faced in safety and health management in construction projects based on different personal backgrounds. Different personal backgrounds have significant effects on contractor management and qualification assessment mechanisms. Different personal backgrounds have significant effects on occupational safety and health education and training. Construction safety management has a positive impact on occupational safety and health education and training. Construction safety management has a positive impact on contractor management and qualification assessment mechanisms.
