  • Abstract Because the narrow alleys are really ubiquitous in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, there are often old houses in the narrow alleys, and a large number of people live in the alleys, accompanied by a large number of cars and motorcycles parked, debris piled up, and telephone poles everywhere, resulting in The already narrow alleys are even narrower, and some of the alleys may be traditional markets with a large number of vendors and rain shelters. If a disaster occurs, it will be difficult for firefighters to rescue them. At present, various counties and cities are vigorously promoting the installation of fire alarms for old houses below the 5th floor. They have the awareness of knowing immediately when a fire occurs. Thus, this is why the most important thing to install alarms.
    In view of the difficulty of rescuing firefighters in narrow alleys, the research results of this paper show that the following points are very important for rescue in narrow alleys: 1. Continuous water for disaster relie- multi-line water intake from water sources and reservoir vehicles to ensure uninterrupted water sources 2. Disaster rescue ability and speed of firefighters - the waterline collection method can use the zigzag collection method, and the driver can speed up the waterline deployment by 228 seconds Residential fire alarms- It is best to amend the local self-government law so that the public can compel installation 5.
