  • Abstract Concrete is a necessary material for the modern construction industry. Among them, there are many types of cement, which can be divided into 5 types according to different environmental requirements. Each type has different effects due to different additives and component ratios, and the environment suitable for each type. However, research has found that among the types of admixtures added to cement mortar today did no three types of alum, magnesium oxide and aluminum hydroxide, and few research materials related to these. Therefore, this study wants to know through experiments that if the cement mortar is added with the three kinds of admixtures, what is the elongation and compressive stress of the test body, whether there will be better results compared with the general expansion agent, and whether it can meet the specification requirements of non-shrinkage cement mortar.
In this study, cement mortar and the same water-cement ratio were used to make 1, 2, 3% added for specimen fabrication of 25*25*250 mm and 50*50*50 mm samples. The basic length of the sample for the elongation test was measured at after curing time of 1 hour, and the length is measured again at 7 days and 28 days to calculate the elongation; the compressive stress of the cube simples is tested at after curing time of 1 hour, 7 days and 28 days. After that, selecting the type with maximum values of elongation and compressive stress, and after making 5% and 7% group tests to study the performance of adding a higher proportion of this type of admixture.
Comparing with the test results, magnesium oxide is the admixture with the most mixtures harmonious for elongation and compressive stress. The smaller the addition ratio, the less significant the expansion effect and strength increased, and the higher the addition ratio, the greater the expansion effect and strength increased. The more aluminum hydroxide is added, the higher the initial shrinkage, the more long-term expansion, and the slight increased in compressive stress. The proportion of aluminum hydroxide has little effect on the elongation and compressive stress, but the compressive stress is the highest value among all the admixtures. The elongation rate of the commercially available expansion agent is stable, but the compressive stress is the weakest among all the admixtures.
