  • Abstract Fire on Suburbs Mountain in Taipei City has increased these years due to global warming caused by greenhouse effect and increased city population. Compared to fire on urban structure, fire on Suburbs Mountain is more difficult to prevent and rescue. There are plenty of combustible fuel in the mountain, with less water source and rough terrain, make firefighting much harder. Such fire, if not contained before its spread out, will cause huge damage to human life, property and environment. Therefore, how to fight such fire effectively is a task worth to study and improve for firefighters.
    This article intend to find firefighting method when suburbs mountain fire occurred. Here will use suburbs mountain in Dazhi area, Taipei City as subject, considered its feature, to perform a firefighting simulation. By table drill, we will analyze how to increase effective of firefighting effort when such incident occurred, by field investigation, case review, location of water source. And make a rescue plan to increase effectiveness to minimize loss of life and property.
