  • Abstract The National Military Dormitory ¡§ABMAC Village¡¨ is located in Section 3, Tingzhou Road, Taipei City. ¡§ABMAC Village¡¨ contains rich historical track and have been identified as historical buildings by the Cultural Affairs Bureau. This research explored the actual restoration projects of the Anzhai building and the dormitory of the ¡§ABMAC Village¡¨. This research uses the literature review to summary the historical development and evolution of ¡§ABMAC Village¡¨. By the preservation materials of cultural assets and the concept and practice of restoration of historical buildings and combining the methods of spatial survey, spatial mapping and interviews to study the restoration procedures of the roof of Anzhai Building and the interior restoration of the dormitory. In terms of the repair method of Anzhai Building's roof, based on respect for the history and artistic features of the building, the original forms and materials are used as much as possible, and in the process of restoration, considering the safety of the structure of the building, it also strives to use the original construction method and construction process as the restoration principle to ensure the preservation of construction methods and techniques. Since the duty dormitories are also historical buildings, how to successfully carry out the internal restoration project of the duty dormitories under the protection of the existing structure of the building is also the focus of this research.
    The process and procedures can provide reference to the restoration of historical buildings or dormitories of National military. Through restoration projects can re-display the past style and inherite the history and culture of military doctors.
