Title A Simulation of Heating Load on Air Conditioning of Passenger Bus by Solar Radiation

  • Abstract This paper discusses the general situation of the influence of solar radiation on the air-conditioning heating load of passenger buses. Taking the existing passenger buses in Taiwan as the discussion object, it references to the theory of solar radiation to calculate the air-conditioning heating load of the buses. The radiation heating load simulation program will be written in Python. The data from simulation are figured to discuss the influencing factors of the solar radiation heating load. The results of the study find that the relative orientation and angle between sun and bus on the route will affect the thermal radiation, and the thermal radiation has a considerable impact on the air-conditioning heating load of the passenger bus. Finally, some suggestions are given based on the study results for practitioners reference.
