Title | Study the EDM Deposition Parameters with Ti Powder CompactElectrode in N2 for TiN Coating | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | ¡@¡@Titanium metal pressed powder composition design is the electrode material used for electrical discharge processing and deposition in this study. Apply the high-temperature plasma that is generated between the electrode and work piece during discharge processing to attract nitrogen molecules in the environment for generating solid-gas chemical reaction and synthesizing titanium nitride film. Also, control the polarity between the electrodes and the discharge parameters for having titanium nitride compounds instantly cooled and deposited on the surface of work piece by infusion in order to produce a titanium nitride coated layer with abrasion-resistant. ¡@¡@Experimental planning contains different discharge processing conditions including Ip(5, 10, 20A), £non(9, 25, 50£gS), and £noff (100, 200, 400us), PN2 (1,3,5 atm) and RPM(0, 200, 400rpm), respectively, in airtight metal reaction chamber for discharge processing coating experiments in order to identify the discharge processing coating parameters. According to the experimental results: Used the negative(-) process can be produce the coating layer in surface. In Taguchi method and single-factor experiment affect the order are Ip, £non, RPM, £noff and PN2 etc.; and the optimal processing parameters are the Ip¡Ø5A & £non¡Ø80us and DF¡Ø8%. Incompatibility the parameters had be produce excessive EDM energy to generate Solid-gas reaction(N2&Ti electrode) to cause the Ti electrode shrinkage.The final conclusions: In the pressure chamber in the EDM process can be coat a layer TiN on Al workpiece. |
