Title | Development of a Pulse Sensor to Determine Abnormalities in Arterial Wall | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Traditionally, invasive approach is the main method of diagnosis in arteriosclerosis. However, this method is not a waste of time and would result in the patient's psychological stress. In recent years, more and more the development of non-invasive way, such as pulse wave velocity (PWV) predicts future atherosclerosis; using resonance method to study the patient's pulse waveforms, and calculate the atherosclerosis index (ASI), these are now more skilled technical. This paper attempts to use different methods to study the arterial wall abnormalities, we use self-developed sensors to measure pulse wave, and make it through the fast Fourier transform to get spectrum, then determine whether the arterial wall abnormalities. This study adopts the actual sample tests, including those with normal blood pressure and medical history who have high blood pressure. We perform the pulse signal measurement, acquisition and abnormal judge to test system performance. By the experimental results show that this study has the accuracy, ease of use, easy portability and low cost, etc, except for medical or home use, and provide medical and care staff as a basis for subsequent processing. |
