Abstract | This study aims to explore the selection of important and indicative parameters through fundamental, monetary, and technical tools in stock market investment. It conducts single-item and cross-combination strategy modes to track and back test buy-in opportunities for long-term relative lows in the Taiwan stock market. Through a systematic stock selection approach, whenever the identified conditions are met, an investment is made in the Yuanta Taiwan 50 ETF (stock code: 0050). The study adopts a long-term holding perspective for performance back testing (Buy & Hold) until June 2023. Additionally, it incorporates two major financial market disaster scenarios: the global financial crisis in 2008 and the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, along with the holding period until June 2023. This results in a total of three hypothetical scenarios. Through seven investment single and combined strategies, total of 21 sets of performance back testing results are presented. Cash dividend, as a significant investment variable, is included, and the results are classified into dividend-inclusive and dividend-exclusive categories, yielding a total of 42 empirical results. Three parameters are selected for this study: first, Taiwanˇ¦s Prosperity Countermeasures Score as the main fundamental analysis; second, the difference between the total money supply M1B and M2; and third, the monthly KD value as a technical indicator. The back testing results of study show cross-combination strategies using fundamental and technical indicators as benchmarks demonstrate relatively outstanding overall performance. Analyses conducted using return ratio and absolute return value reveal excellent returns, especially dividend-inclusive This not only brings capital gains but also long-term dividend income. |
