  • Abstract Taiwan left many industrial facilities during the Japanese Occupation, and with Taiwan's economic development and transformation, these industrial facilities now form a local idle space, and under the trend of the international cultural heritage preservation and maintenance movement, Taiwan has begun to focus on these industrial sites. The Argena Shipyard is an industrial product of the Japanese occupation period, which has been idle in different periods and years until the current situation, and the Keelung municipal government has officially announced the registration of historical buildings in 2016 AD to preserve and maintain, but the site is limited to private ownership, and currently only stays in the planning stage, so this paper studies the site space and surrounding environment to explore the feasibility of space reuse.
Through the literature analysis and review of the relevant urban development plans of Keelung City Government, this study explores the role of the Argena
