  • Abstract Abstract
Based on proportion from ACI (American Concrete Institute), using two kinds of water-to-cementitious material ratio in 0.45 and 0.55, adding
10% fly ash and 20% slag replace cement. Furthermore, replace with recycled aggregate of 0%, 10%, 30%, and 50%. Standing on ASTM C1543, ponding in the chloride ion in 91-days, 182-days, 365-days, 547-days, and 729-days. Then, using LightCon model and KHF model to predict the sevice life.

LightCon model and KHF model are mathematical models that help analyse the service life of concrete under unstable diffusion of chloride ion. The most difference between two of these is the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion, it is constant in LightCon model but changed with time and depth in KHF model.
Caculating the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion under KHF model. The diffusion is tending toward stable in soaking 182-days and 365-days. Finding the linear relationship between diffusion coefficient, protective layer and soaking time to predict the service life of recycled concrete. The result shows that KHF model counts the factors in depth and time, effects more stable prediction of service life, and Light model don¡¦t have this property.
