| Title | Research on Fire Risk Assessment of Fixed Aerosol Fire Extinguishing Systems for Energy Storage Cabinets | ||
| Keyword | |||
| Abstract | This study investigates the applicability and effectiveness of fixed aerosol fire suppression systems in mitigating fire hazards within energy storage cabinets, focusing on their fire characteristics. By employing Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) software and conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on cabinet components to develop relevant protocols, a case study was conducted using one unit within a ten-unit lithium battery energy storage system at Kinmen Guning Energy Storage Plant. The research analyzes the dispersion behavior of fixed aerosol extinguishing agents within enclosed cabinets, evaluates fire suppression efficiency, and assesses their impact on electrical equipment. Findings demonstrate that the fixed aerosol suppression system effectively contains cabinet fires, achieves rapid thermal runaway mitigation, and reduces equipment damage. Moreover, this study proposes optimized design parameters to enhance firefighting performance and safety. The outcomes provide valuable references for future fire protection strategies in energy storage cabinet systems. |
