Title | The Collective Dose Was Reduced -A Case Study Of Nuclear Power Plants |
||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Today, in Taiwan, Republic of China, for people working in Nuclear Power Plant Industry, there are around 6,000 radiation workers. Compared to their co-workers who work as management officers in nuclear power plants or staffs of nuclear waste management, their exposure dose is much higher. This phenomenon gave us a very good reason to believe that there should be room for improvement, both in Power plant hardware safety and personnel management. From this research(A Nuclear Power Plant), to explain the high exposure dose of radiation for the radiation workers, there are four factors, the radiation source, the circumstances, the human factor and workload. According to the principles of radiation protection, we can design some projects to control the radiation source and to improve working environment, such as to update pipeline, install high radiation shielding device, set the blanket of lead or tungsten, and use chemical decontamination techniques. At the same time, we can do the administrative controls, such as workload and better management. After setting all these up, there will be a result comparison, to check if these improvements work. The report will be there for everyone(mainly manager or owner) to use as a reference. |
