Abstract |
Supervisor traits have a great impact on the management of the company. In general, there are two types of supervisors that are most common: severe and loose. The so called strict management style will implement high standards on the requirements of output level; the loose management style is the opposite. However, implementing strict or loose management on all staffs is still open to question, because for business processes, the same management tools may have different impacts on different positions or employees in the process. In order to understand such impact, this paper attempts to use the network theory to explore the impact of different supervisory traits on employee behavior, and finds that many valuable information can be obtained, which is difficult to obtain by other methods. To illustrate the method, this paper also presents a numerical case to illustrate how to apply this method. |
