| Abstract | Owing to the output characteristic of fuel cell seriously dependent on the load change and the loss of chemical polorization, a converter stabilize the dynamic performance of the fuel cell is proposed between the fuel cell and the load. A zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) dc/dc converter is presented as a dc/dc regulator between fuel cell and load to stabilize the output load variation. The operation behavior of the dc/dc regulator following the output status of the fuel cell during load variation has been clearly explained. Experimental examination of the PSFB converter is established by using UC3879 as phase-shift controller, which can stably transfer the output power of 380W from the fuel cell supply. The output voltage regulation can be kept at 0.53% with high power efficiency up to 80%. The experimental result is close to the predictions. | ||
