Abstract | ¡@¡@Magnetorheological(MR) fluid is a mixture of strong soft magnetic iron metal fine powder particles, silicone oil and dispersant fluid. If MR fluid is not magnetized, it is a Newtonian fluid. When a magnetic field is applied to the MR fluid, it rapidly changes from Newtonian fluid into Bingham plastic in milliseconds. The yield shear stress will become larger as the magnetic field increases, and it is reversible. MR mount is to utilize this characteristic to control the damping effect. ¡@¡@In this paper, we discuss the control characteristics of MR mount of the application in the attenuation of vibration. First, a MR mount was designed and manufactured, and the magnetic circuit was analysis by magneto V64 softawae, calculate the magnetic flux density, simulation of magnetorheological fluid shear stress yield. Then we set up a single degree of freedom system with the MR mount. In the base and platform, two displacement sensors are installed. Utilizing the passive and skyhook control, and conduct semi-active control to analysis the damping effect. Experimental MR fluid is MRF-122 made by Lord Ltd. The experimental results show that, it has a good damping effect using MR mount of the semi-active control. |
