Abstract | The Fire Department of New Taipei City Government(NTCFD) decided to build a rescue dog training center at a vacancy which is on the Dapu section in Sanxia Dist. New Taipei City. It will combine its two K-9 team(Hengke K-9 team and Tucheng K-9 team) and accommodate 23 rescue dogs up to present. It can effectively improve the feeding space of the rescue dogs; advantage the training of the rescue dogs¡¦ search capabilities such like earthquakes, collapsed rubbles and special disasters. The training center will be the first International Rescue Dog Organization (IRO) testing site in the northern Taiwan. To analyze the characteristic of the vacancy and study the feasibility of building a IRO test and training center assisted by the model design to create a new future of Taiwan¡¦s rescue dog society. In addition to strengthen the rescue dogs¡¦ search capabilities, we can also invite the professionals with international searching technique overseas to give lessons, in order to exchange international experiences and learn new knowledge also improve the professional technique with the professional training facilities accomplished. By holding the IRO test regularly to improve the standards and the quality of rescue dogs in Taiwan, we can combine the force of internal rescue dogs. We trust rescue dogs which are certificated in Taiwan IRO test can join the international rescue missions in the future, also give its¡¦ best back to the internationals and develop the diplomatic force of Taiwan. |
