  • Abstract Due to the rapid development of urban areas and large population gathering, the demand for transportation has increased significantly.However, in the geography of Taiwan, the mountainous area accounts for more than 70% of the total area of Taiwan. In order to shorten the time between the two places, the construction of tunnels through the mountainous area is inevitable.
    Tunnel construction is very time-consuming and labor-intensive. Under the pressure of construction period, often increase the excavation work surface to improve the excavation progress, so the thesis topic of this paper is the interaction of each excavation work surface, this paper uses FLAC 3D for numerical analysis, to explore the interaction between the tunnel cross section in different excavation time sequence and stress. The data collecting and compaction can provide construction unit to establish safety management benchmarks.
