  • Abstract This thesis is to study and realize a PV boost converter as pre-regulator, which can directly convert and boost the PV energy from PV module to meet the power need. Due to the effects of insolation change and environmental temperature on the PV power module, a Power-Increment Maximum Power Point Tracking (PI-MPPT) is proposed to make MPP accurate and fast. The proposed PV boost converter with PI-MPPT can adaptively supply maximum power output under different insolation change.
