Abstract | In this paper, a control strategy to driving a step-up full-bridge inverter for lighting the external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL) is proposed. A full-bridge series-resonant topology is employed to step up the output voltage, in which two out-of-phase driving signals are built. Two high voltages with out of phase are summed up at output side with 3kV to drive the EEFLs. Current balances for each lamp are achieved without balance circuits. Experiment results show better performance close to the predictions. | ||
