Abstract | Abstract This thesis presents the design considerations of a 500W half-bridge LLC series resonant converter (LLC-SRC). Three kinds of the operation regions are described including (1) Region 1: fs >fr1, (2) Region 2: fr2<fs<fr1 and (3)Region 1~2: fs <fr1 when full load, where fr1 is dominant resonant frequency and fr2 is the frequency with magnetizing inductance. System performance is investigated by Matlab and design consideration is described. Three kinds of 500W LLC-SRC converters are respectively designed and examined for verify the performance in the mentioned three modes. The experimental results show high efficiencies within 90%~96% for the three modes. The best efficiency presents in Region 1~2 mode, but Region 2 can get better efficiency than Region 1 when working at half and full loads. |
