Title | Study and Implementation of Step-Up Phase-Shift Full-Bridge Converter with Primary-SideEnergy Recovery |
||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Abstract This thesis presents a step-up and high power phase-shift full-bridge converter with primary-side energy recovery. Main feature of the power converter includes a voltage control loop, isolated transformer for power transmission, and a resonance winding inductor. The converter has five conversion states including power-delivery state, first-resonant state, energy-holding state, second-resonant state, and energy commutation state. An auxiliary winding around the resonant inductor at primary side is built to transfer the spike noise back to input capacitor so as to reduce the resonant ringing and increase efficiency. Small-signal analysis and design consideration are conducted to verify the system performance and set up system design, respectively. A practical design of 700W step-up power converter with 250V output is examined. The converter can operate with ZVS and can provide high efficiency up to 80%. Experimental results are so close to the theoretical prediction. |
