  • Abstract Abstract
    This thesis presents design considerations of a high efficient quasi-resonance flyback converter under soft switching QR mode operating in Discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). Two kinds of control strategies for QR flyback converters are described and compared. Two examples of 90W (19Vdc/4.8 A) QR flyback converters are designed and examined under input voltage of 90 ~ 264Vac / 50-60Hz. The efficiencies for the two converters are quite the same as about 88% and their performance can actually match Energy Star5 standard requirements.
