Abstract | Abstract In this thesis, a flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and continuous conduction mode (CCM) is examined. The circuit analysis and performance evaluation for DCM and CCM are respectively conducted. Design consideration for selecting components and transformer design is described in detail. Finally, a design example of 100W flyback converter is examined for investigating the operation statuses in DCM and CCM, respectively. The experimental results are so close to the predictions. |
