Title | Study and Implementation of High Voltage Generator for External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Abstract This thesis presents the study and implementation of high voltage generator for external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL). A full-bridge series-resonant inverter is employed to drive the EEFLs. Two sinusoidal waveforms with out of phase are generated to sum up high voltage varying from several hundred to thousand volts to easily light the EEFLs. Because there is only one transformer to light two or more EEFLs, the cost of ballast can then be reduced. Furthermore, 32 EEFLs in a planar panel have uniformly luminance each lamp without current balance circuits. Keywords: external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL), series-resonant inverter |
