Title | A study of die development for motor cover | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | This study explores primarily the development process in a die factory where the author worked for 30 years and went through all sorts of bottlenecks and problems, such as, delivery deadlines, quality control, cost, technology, and among others. As outlined herein, a motor cover and base and its transfer die unit of a washing machine plant received an overseas order and the author deeply feels that it is a great opportunity to study the related issues on the development process of the washing machine concentrating on the following facets of the manufacturing cycle: swift drawing, size measurement of semi-finished products, work order management, precision of a mold in production, size analysis of flange hole forging, manufacturing of side surface holes, die structure design, and manufacturing improvement. The research reveals a difference between theoretical data and practical results as well as the benefits and drawbacks of traditional and modern methods. Furthermore, this research tries to find a reliable, applicable and highly precise way which is able to effectively shorten the delivery dates, improve the quality and reduce the cost in the criteria of similar mold development to enhance an enterpriseĦĤs competitive skills and remain as a sustainable enterprise. |
