Abstract |
The purpose of this paper develops an automatic swinging percussion Impact-Echo Instrument, and also applies it in the analysis of abnormal concrete structure. This echo signal is obtained by periodic capture, and then transferred to the computer to perform signal processing and analysis. Therefore, this system is divided into three parts, namely, Impact-Echo Instrument, swing circuits, and signal processing, respectively. The swinging clock is refered in the design of swinging percussion. And this application uses a non-destructive mallet to replace the traditional manual steel hammer. Swing circuit is based on self-designed pulse width generator. It also generates time delay change to push the mallet percussion. It uses the Sound Card that is built on the computer convert the reflected wave to form a sound file in the signal processing unit. Then, using the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) do the analysis of the energyˇ¦s spectrum in the MATLAB software, This study also can be applied to natural disaster warning system to achieve the goal of long-distance monitoring. |
