  • Abstract The Study of mental health of firefighters and psychological impact after rescue a disaster-A Case Study of Yilan County Fire Bureau.The research uses questionnaire, expert interviews and case discussions.In addition to studying the common sources of stress and general psy-chology health conditions¡Adiscuss the psychological impact of firefighters after the rescue disaster and the ways in which the firefighting authority can provide assistance in the face of traumatic events in Yilan County.Because many major disasters in Yilan County in recent years. (1) Military, police and firefighters are all high-risk occupations exposed to psychological trauma events. Both military and police agencies have dedicated mental health units, while firefighters only use general government resources. May ignore the particularity of the profes-sion. (2) The mental health knowledge of firefighters at all levels is generally insufficient. Faced with the psychological trauma caused by the impact of an incident, they are easy to be unaware or do not know how to seek assistance, and colleagues around them may give wrong support methods.(3) When rescuing large-scale disasters, in addition to the risk assessment of the rescue plan, the safety control officer should also include the rescue pressure and task time of firefighters in safety control, and strengthen the rotation mechanism.
