| Title | A Study on Seismic Resistance Certification in Engineering Practice-New Building Construction in Taipei as an Example | ||
| Keyword | |||
| Abstract | The core goal of the Earthquake-Resistant Label system is to improve the earthquake resistance of buildings and public safety, and its impact on improving overall disaster prevention capabilities is not small. In earthquake-prone areas such as Taiwan, promoting Earthquake-Resistant Label is not only related to the safety of a single building, but also has a far-reaching impact on urban disaster prevention, disaster reduction and post-disaster recovery. Through the Earthquake-Resistant Label system, the loss of life, property damage, social impact and government burden caused by earthquake disasters can be effectively reduced, prompting Taiwan to move towards a safer and more resilient disaster-resistant society. This study first confirmed the research background and motivation, and then formulated the final purpose of the study. Then, it studied the relevant literature and summarized the important conclusions. Through interviews with the owners, seismic technicians, and construction contractors who have been involved in seismic labeling projects, the effectiveness analysis of Earthquake-Resistant Label and future suggestions are provided. Through practical discussions, this study provides some operational directions and practical cases for units applying for seismic certification, and provides the views of various units through expert interviews. It is concluded that seismic certification helps to improve the seismic performance of buildings and public safety, the improvement of industry personnel's skills and the accumulation of experience, and the support of owners have a great impact on the quality of projects. It also proposes that the time for special seismic supervision to enter the site should be earlier, sufficient manpower should be allocated, relevant penalties for overdue submission of construction drawings for private construction projects should be stipulated, the relevant salaries of seismic certification practitioners should be increased, and the capacity training of practitioners should be strengthened. |
