Abstract | When the solar panels absorb energy, it will be overheated on the surface and cause the efficiency down. This paper is to analyze the efficiency and temperature of forced convection with the flow-rate adjustment as the solar photovoltaic panels are irradiated. By setting a solar-panel test equipment, experiment parameters of irradiation and inclined angle 10˘X, 20˘X and 30˘X can be adjusted. Experiments use different irradiation values of 600 ~ 1000 W /m2 in the condition of closed loop and open loop. Flow-rate is controlled with 0.3 and 0.6 L / min to measure and compare voltage and current. The data are obtained under different irradiation with two different flow-rate in the closed loop and open loop. The data can be translated inti efficiency according to the formula in both conditions. The result shows that efficiency is up to 54% in the forced closed loop with 0.3L/min flowrate, while efficiency is worse but still up to 39% in the forced open loop with 0.6L/min flowrate. |
