Title | Evaluation and Analysis of the Refurbishment Schemes of the Airport Taxiway-Acase study of Chiayi Airport | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Chiayi Airport is a military-civilian airport. In addition to performing the transit routes from Chiayi-Magong and Chiayi- Kinmen, provide the tasks of flight officer formation, combat readiness drill, wreck search, humanitarian rescue, human-loading transportation, and defending the air superiority in the aviation field during wartime, etc. This study mainly discusses the assessment and improvement strategy of the taxiway at Chiayi Airport. Analysis the failure renovation of the taxiway and the implementation of the Minxiong contingency runway, Evaluation the overlaying asphalt concrete thickness by the airport pavement design program(FAARFIELD) published from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to reduce construction time , maintain airport operations, Improve reflection cracks and analyze benefits,and provide reference for the design, refurbishment , reconstruction of future airport pavements. This study found that the failures and success stories used in similar proportions, and meet the requirements of construction specifications, but still cause rutting phenomenon, showing the importance of construction quality and supervision of the supervision, must use the clearly construction specifications define and improve construction standards to reduce failure cases. In addition, Airport pavement design program (FAARFIELD) is more rigorous than the road surface overlay asphalt thickness conversion formula, Consider more safety factors, If using the paving design program to calculate the thickness of asphalt concrete overlay, can reduce the failure rate of the overlay project. |
