Title | The reflex ports designs and analysis for Bass reflex speaker systems | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | The loudspeaker systems, including speaker units and cabinet, have been developed for one century. The 20 ce4ntury is an important era for speaker system development, many classical speaker systems designed in 20 century. The wide band full range speaker unit and dual concentration loudspeaker units were treasure inventions in 1950 era. The speaker systems applied to transfer electric power to sound power, loudspeaker system design needs to combine esthetics, electric mechanic and acoustic techniques for a state of the arts production. This research designs the bass reflect loudspeaker cabinets for 12 inch two ways dual concentration units, and studies the frequency response by different cabinet volumetric and different bass reflect pipe types, and calculates speaker systems. The appropriate cabinet volumetric also can be calculated and referred. The LEAP speaker system design software is applied to simulate the frequency response for the designed speaker cabinets. The appropriate bass reflect pipe length can be designed by LEAP simulation, and the carbon fiber absorber quantity also can be determined by simulation. The complete bass reflect loudspeaker system with Jensen SG223 two ways dual concentration units has been tested with satisfied music reproduction effect. |
