Abstract | In the area of rope rescue, the Taiwan fire brigade team works on the crossing of the different systems from Japan, America and Europe. The instructors taking the class of the different systems holds different teaching methods, on top of the difference in styles of rope rescue across the countries mentioned. However, the general theories and basics are derived from relevant books, as well as instructors and consultants from abroad. Yet in Taiwan, there are no specialized individuals or organizations that are currently working on the theory differences of the three countries; to test out the extend of effectiveness of the theories in practical, to compare the different systems to determine which are appropriate for particular situations like local fire rescue, the safety level, the simplicity, and the convenience of setting up of each system. From the basic idea of rescue involving the tripe S (Safety, Simple, Speed) and that as an individual who holds the status of an instructor in the Tai Pei Fire Bureau Training Centre of Taiwan, quoting real-life experience to do comparison and weighing of the pros and cons across the American and European systems of rescue, targeting the research of the mentioned two systems particularly in the areas of rescue, assistance and back-up. |
