  • Abstract The main purpose of this thesis is to study the characteristics of white LED light source and how to adjust its color temperature. This paper proposed a LED color temperature tuning method with two different color temperatures white LED under constant power condition. The color temperatures tuning range is from 2500K to 6300K and validates the feasibility through experiment.
    A LED lighting module, control module, and a wireless remote controller are used as the main research equipment. In LED lighting module, there are 9 warm white LED and 9 cold white LED as light sources being connected in series individually, and each set of LED was connected to drive circuit. By using the controller software to modulate the pulse duty cycle of two sets, the pulse triggers warm and white LED light source on and off to achieve color temperature adjustment. Finally, by using the luminance meter and integrating sphere to measure optical characteristics and the experimental results were shown in line with expectations. Due to the increasing demand for mood lighting recently, the results of this paper are hoped to be expanded the scope of lighting usage.
