  • Abstract This paper aims to improve existing Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) accuracy and focus on utilizing 3 Reads and 5 Checks dispensing mechanism. Through using a modulize concept to design Intelligent TCM dispensing system (IDS), we have introduced QFD method to collect factors that affect the TCM dispensing quality. Based on the first-generation IDS model, this paper corrects errors which antenna¡¦s poor performance caused and also reduces the large-scale antenna¡¦s cost.
    Through QFD method, we eliminate enormous hard works to concentrate only on the target objectives at the early design stage. That means that embedded system and small antenna are best for the IDS development. Also for the hospital aspect, we can expect more stable system to be used on assisting busy TCM pharmacists. To the manufacturers, the reduced cost for the IDS is quite attractive for them to put it on the medical equipment market.
    The modulize components have extended their flexibility to applications like merchandise, industry and medicine. No restrictions for the use on the size and items mean we can simultaneously manage and check materials at very short time at a reasonable cost.
