Title Study of Impedance Properties for Coarse Aggregate and Cement Paste Containing Superplasticizer

  • Abstract This paper is to study the absorption capacity properties of coarse and fine aggregates by AC impedance; and the impedance behavior of cement paste containing superplasticizer
    The result shows that there is a significant distinction of impedance value change between the moisture contents of aggregate over and below the absorption capacity for fine aggregate and sinter lightweight coarse aggregate. The higher SP dosage pastes have longer initial setting and final setting times. There is no particular difference between sulfonic acid and polycarboxylic acid for setting time. The impedance value of paste containing polycarboxylic acid increased with the increase in the polycarboxylic acid dosage. The result of interface model simulation is closer to the experimental data than that of simple model simulation.
