Abstract | The Vehicle Suspension System is consisted of springs and vibration shock absorbers two important mechanism devices. The spring is used to support the vehicle body and absorb the vibrations induced by inflate road surface and some impact of sudden driving condition. It is more important for suspension system to keep the wheel contact with the road surface under driving conditions. The shock absorber is keep tracking ability for a vehicle by damping the spring force and keeping the wheel contact with the road surface under driving conditions. In this study, the vehicle suspension system structure and types are discussed. The dynamic models of vibrations for the vehicle suspension systems are built and the MATLAB Simulink is used to simulate the vibration systems. The simulation results of dynamic vibration are investigated, and show that it is reasonable to design the proper spring constant and damping coefficient by simulations. |
