Title | The Study of Bass-reflex Loudspeaker System | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | The knowledge of loudspeaker system is a combination of aesthetics, electricity, mechanics, and acoustics. Different loudspeaker systems have different effects in presentation of music. In physics perspective, the major function of a loudspeaker system is converting electrical energy into acoustic energy. In this study, a bass-reflex loudspeaker system with full-range speaker is developed, which cabinet is made up of moisture-proof wooden splints. A traditional bass-reflex cabinet has a reflex bass hole disposed near the bottom and at which a port tube is installed. This study here attempts to add a partition above the port tube, which could prolong the lower frequency response of the loudspeaker system. This partition will also strengthen the structure of cabinet. This article begins with establishing a bass-reflex loudspeaker system circuit model by physical laws. Using Multisim, circuit simulation software, the effect of the bass-reflex loudspeaker system with partition is discussed in the frequency response. Thereafter, there are some experiments on this system performed by playing several particulars signals and music songs. With spectral analysis of experiment records, it is verified that adding a partition to the bass-reflex loudspeaker system has the effect of widening its bass spectrum |
