Abstract |
The SRC construction design specifications currently used in Taiwan is strength superposition method, when designing, the designs of steel and reinforced concrete are separately conducted and then overlaid together to calculate the overall strength of SRC section. This study use the concept of graphic method which commonly used in design of reinforced concrete column sections. This research compiles 67 groups of encased XH steel columns section analyses by applying the XTRACT cross-section software and then collates the axial force and bending moment co-actions of each section to establish the analyses and design graphical database of encased XH steel columns section. Use these databases to develop an encased XH steel columns graphic design method. According to the study results, the graphic design method calculations are easy and economically superior to the strength superposition method, enabling engineers to apply the graphic design method in a rapid and convenient manner. |
