Title | A Study on the Rescue of Sheet Metal Factory Clusters Fire - A Case Study of Ganyuan in Shulin District | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | Sheet metal factory fire is a major disaster rescue issue. Among fire rescue studies, a substantial literature has been established, as well as laws legislated, to prevent disasters, calling upon manufacturers to act on factory safety measures. Existing literature already provides constructive rescue strategies, such as studies on fire prevention and rescue of multi-span sheet metal houses. However, not much of them lends awareness to rescue measures of sheet metal factory clusters. This paper draws a comparison between wargame modules of fire brigades and case studies, and in turn achieves practical advice that may be adopted by command centers in case of future fire alarms. In the meantime, this thesis intends to introduce QR codes into address plates. Information such as dangerous items stored in factory or locations of nearby water source can be accessed by simply scanning the QR code printed on address plates with one's smart phone. This immediate access renders the rescue workers a quick grasp of the on-site situation, allowing them to efficiently deploy human and vehicle resource and draft the best rescue route. This enhances rescue safety by reducing the risk of rescue workers blinded by heavy smoke being inadequately informed about their surroundings. Due to its simplicity and convenience, the study believes that QR code-loaded address plates are potentially helpful in multi-span sheet metal factory cluster fire scenarios. |
