Abstract |
This study analysis the ammonium pollutant source of the upstream of Nan-Kan river via in situ investigation and data analysis from EPA (R.O.C).In addition, the remediation plan was proposed to solve the ammonium pollution of Nan-Kan river. This study demonstrated that the pollution source is Hwa-Ya Technology Park .The effluent concentration of ammonium-N is about 50 mg/L. According to our analysis, the current in situ remediation methods don¡¦t work very well for ammonium removal. Therefore, an alternative must be proposed to solve the problem. AOB-cookies which is an innovative method developed by our laboratory performed a stable ammonium removal from waste water. The batch and continuous experiments showed that AOB-cookie system performed high removal efficiency of ammonium from synthetic and actual wastewater.Therefore AOB-cookie can be a good alternative to remove ammonium from wastewater. |
