Abstract |
A traditional managers¡¦ problem is to set their business goal rationally. Only empirical rules are available for such activities. However, most of the time, the business goals are set poorly, and no way to justify the quality of decisions when the managers make their choices. This paper proposes a novel method to justify the goal setting for managers in corporations. The proposed method is based on the statistical observation in the business activities, and calculates an index for evaluating the performance of business activities. Then, such index can be took as the measurement of quality of goal setting, and be considered as the elevating tool for management activities. Examples are illustrated for the proposed method. |
