Title | Study on Safety Evaluation of Diaphragm Wall Construction | ||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | This study, based on the mechanism for a Category D Work Place Review, is to carry out the Construction Safety Evaluation for the hazard of each subdivision work or workplace, and to search for countermeasures to ensure that construction work can be done safely prior to construction of the diaphragm wall. The study also identify unsafe behaviors, unsafe conditions, and the interrelationship between various reasons during the construction process, and then produce the checklist to allow project managers to have the basis to manage the environment, equipment, machinery and methods of operation before and during construction. This study takes the one new diaphragm wall construction in Taipei City as a case, which collects relevant basic information to formulate basic construction plans and construction methods and steps. It also invites professional engineers, designers, contractors, and general engineers by using brainstorming and meetings to identify possible construction hazards from construction methods and procedures, and to produce preventing and responding measures. Structural safety, strength, and stability analysis are conducted in construction machinery and hypothetical facilities, etc., to ensure safe and reliable. Through the Construction Safety Evaluation, ˇ§Preliminary Hazard Analysis Formˇ¨, ˇ§Construction Hazard Preliminary Analysis Formˇ¨, "Special Hazard Evaluation Formˇ¨, and "Basic Review Checklist Form" are produced as the important basis of safety management to achieve the purpose of avoiding disasters in the construction process of the diaphragm wall. The safety of construction workplaces depends on the construction contractors to spontaneously make the Construction Safety Evaluation and implement it in accordance with the evaluation results. This is the fundamental and effective way to avoid engineering disasters. |
