Title Research of Vocational School Enforcement with Regard to Disaster Precaution Education--The Dunxu High School of Industry and Commerce in Taipei City as an Example

  • Abstract This research aims to treat the education results of the disaster precautions education of the students of an Dunxu high school of Industry and commerce in Taipei City, the disaster precautions education is extremely important to that school, accordingly, the researchers choose to understand the studentsˇ¦ disasters precaution background via questionnaires, and to develop the disaster precautions education courses which can be best applied to the circumstances of the school, and proceeding to the collections of the questionnaires researching information of 1220 students of the school.
    1. At this stage of higher technical and vocational school students with literacy prevention (including prevention knowledge, attitudes disaster prevention) and level:
    (1) disaster prevention in all grades are low, the average garnered less to 4 pm, first grade, second grade scores were significantly higher than non-title three-year, no significant differences in multiple-choice side. Non-problem boys than girls scored in the significantly high, no significant differences in multiple-choice side.
    (2) prevention approach in different grades, there was no significant gender differences between the cases. However, parents level of academic qualifications, will affect the attitude of students in disaster prevention and positive level of the show, but higher education rather than a negative attitude.
    2. Different learning background variables with the higher technical and vocational school students in disaster prevention and literacy (including disaster prevention knowledge, attitudes prevention):
    (1) source of knowledge for the most part in the disaster by the press and other media, television and Internet sources of information obtained by the majority, every 0-3 months to read a science-related books or magazines to obtain disaster knowledge. Most students in the disaster experience, to the house for cracks or dumping or the highest percentage of homes flooded.
    (2) Parents of students with different academic disaster prevention knowledge among comparison, there was no significant difference in the situation. Once every 4-6 months with the science of reading books or magazines related to multiple-choice questions of students scored significantly better than the other groups, but in a non-problem areas, no significant differences to exist.
    3. Higher technical and vocational school teachers in prevention literacy level:
    (1) staff in disaster prevention knowledge scores significantly lower, indicating the staff usually receive disaster prevention knowledge is obviously insufficient. The staff at the Disaster Prevention and attitude are all close to out of state, the disaster prevention for the show staff are positive the positive attitude of the state.
    (2) staff disaster sources of knowledge, from the press and other media, television and Internet sources of information obtained by the majority, but from books and learning activities are a relatively small number of disaster prevention knowledge.
    (3) staff age, years of teaching service, school and academic departments, for their disaster prevention knowledge and attitude, there is no difference in the situation arise.
    4. Disaster prevention education in higher technical and vocational school teachers and students in disaster prevention literacy literacy Relevance:
    (1) student knowledge of disaster prevention and disaster prevention is not related to attitudes, staff knowledge and disaster preparedness in disaster prevention and the attitude there was no correlation between.
      Surveying the students of the Institute of disaster prevention and disaster prevention approach is generally low, the increase of students attitudes disaster prevention knowledge and literacy, the design of various types of schools should be gradual and long-term prevention programs to provide relevant information to enhance disaster prevention knowledge of students, for establish a personal positive attitude may change disaster. And vocational students for follow-up investigation of disaster prevention literacy, only a single school in this study sample, there may not observe the complete picture of this vocational education prevention, the researchers recommendations for future research should expand the scope of the study and the object, to establish more detailed disaster for the quality baseline information for disaster prevention education during the reference Implementation
