| Abstract | This study explores whether the background color of the license plates of various colors of domestic automobiles and locomotives and the different font colors, if combined and arranged, have an impact on short-term memory¡CIn this study, a three-factor (4*3*2) experimental design was used, with different license plate color contrast and font colors, alphanumeric arrangement, and the length of viewing time, the impact on short-term memory evaluation by the subjects. The results of the study found that the length of time and the color of the license plate background and the font color can have an impact on short-term memory. As for the combination of numbers and english, no significant results can be seen, and the time is the most influential in the signal, followed by the background color combination with fonts, again numbers and English arrangement, where the interaction of viewing time and number English arrangement has a significant impact on short-term memory, it has a significant impact of a short-term memory effect between the interaction of the time length of viewing and the alphanumerics. But it has a less impact of a short-term memory effect between the interaction of the color of the plate and the time length of viewing, the same between the interaction of the alphanumerics and the color of the plate. |
