Abstract | SRC(steel reinforced concrete) structural design specification in Taiwan is based on the strength superposition method. It respectively calculates the strength of steel and reinforced concrete section and which is then superimposed to obtain the SRC strength. It does not consider the synthesis of the effect between the steel and reinforced concrete, so theoretically the calculated results are more conservative than other methods but the principle is a simple and fast calculation. There are many formulas to check when calculating the SRC with the strength superposition method and the iterative process can take some time when determining the find a suitable match on the large steel type. This study is an automatic design program research when SRC stub column containing XH steel shape withstand the axial force and single moment. According to strength superposition method, the whole design has been written using MS Excel VBA program. The program will calculate all data patterns and filter the ideal suggestion match, so that the designer can pick the SRC column in a short period of time. |
